Dear Partners and Friends,
Last month, we covered the launch of CBRs Key States Initiative. This is a huge undertaking and is consuming almost all of our resources this year. We are getting a lively response from our trucks and planes as they move from state to state, and our work continues unabated. More coverage will follow in future editions of this newsletter. Please pray for Gods continued protection and blessing for this project. Thank you so much for your faithfulness.

An essay on CBRs Genocide Awareness Project encourages students to become pro-life advocates. The first group of A Choice for Life alumni started college in 2004, and already one of them (now a freshman) is starting a pro-life group and is bringing GAP to his university campus. |

CBR Announces
A Choice for Life
This is the newsletter weve been waiting to write for several years now! Its finally here! We are pleased to announce the immediate availability ofA Choice for Life, the first comprehensive pro-life mini-course for Christian youth! There is truly nothing like it!
A Choice for Life is designed for juniors and seniors in Christian high schools or church youth groups. In a school, its a 3-week mini-course, complete with a final exam. In a church, its a 13-week course without the exam.
The student manual (156 pages, illustrated) is easy to read, holding the students attention with a sequential Q&A format. Students learn how to make convincing pro-life arguments in a pro-abortion culture, a skill that will serve them well as they move to college and beyond.
The teacher package includes a complete lesson plan for each day; a complete set of masters for making overheads, handouts, and worksheets; and three videos to reinforce key points:
Living Proof in 3-D: Putting a Face on the Unborn Human Person
Harder Truth (Short Version)
Reversing Roe: The Norma McCorvey Story
Why is A Choice for Life necessary? Abortion is the moral crisis of our time, yet few Christian young people are being taught the important facts they need to know. In fact, Christians who identify themselves as born again or evangelical are having abortions nearly as often as their non-Christian counterparts. Additionally, Christian youth are not being taught that God's Word holds us all accountable to "protect and defend the helpless who are being led away to the slaughter (Proverbs 24:11-12)."
What sets A Choice for Life apart? There is truly nothing like this product available. None. A Choice for Life is ...
Effective. At a Christian high school in the Southeast where A Choice for Life was tested, a young woman was secretly pregnant and considering abortion at the time she took the class. She later told the author that her child is alive today because God used arguments and evidence presented in A Choice for Life to enable her to resist pressure from her Christian family and friends to have her child butchered by abortion. The first group of A Choice for Life alumni started college in 2004, and already one of them (now a freshman) is starting a pro-life group and is bringing GAP to his university campus.
Flexible. A Choice for Life can be taught as part of a Bible course, a history course, a government course, or a philosophy course.
Easy to use. Everything the teacher needs is provided. The teacher requires no special expertise on abortion.
More than just lectures. Students participate in a series of activities that reinforce key points. For example, students put on a play, a mock debate between Abraham Lincoln and William O. Douglas (the Supreme Court Justice whose illogical reasoning formed the basis of the notorious Roe v. Wade decision).
Inexpensive and easy to order. The cost is only $10 for each student manual, and $95 for the teacher package. To learn more about this resource and/or to place your order, please go to CBR's www.achoiceforlife.com.
Who is the author? Keith Beutler is an Assistant Professor of History at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis. He is no stranger to the high school classroom, having been an instructor of history and Bible at two Christian high schools and for a home-school consortium. He holds concurrent B.A. degrees in history and philosophy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, an M.Ed. from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, and an M.A. in history from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Keith's teaching awards include listing in multiple editions of "Who's Who Among American Teachers" and an "Outstanding Young Educator of the Year" award from the Jackson, Tennessee, Jaycees.
Keith lives in St. Louis with his wife Melissa and their son Grant, whom they adopted through one of the many crisis pregnancy centers that stand ready to help birth mothers make a choice for life. You can read more about Keith by going to www.achoiceforlife.com.

To maximize the impact of A Choice for Life, we need to get it into the hands of as many Christian educators as possible. We are planning a wide range of marketing tactics to create awareness and acceptance of this product:
Direct mail. More than 5000 brochures are being sent to Christian schools nationwide. Follow-up mailings are planned.
Teachers conventions. We plan to set up a display booth at large conventions attended by Christian educators.
Person-to-person marketing. This method of promoting A Choice for Life costs nothing. No mailing costs. No printing. No traveling. All we need is your time (and your computer with internet access). Interested? Read the box below!
Companion website (coming soon). The website for this course (www.achoiceforlife.com) is going to be expanded, Lord willing, to include additional material to re-enforce classroom activities.
Development of name-brand identity. The butterfly design and other distinctive features will, Lord willing, become more and more familiar to our Christian school customers.
Use of existing distribution networks. Partnering with well-known Christian curriculum publishers and distributors will help us reach a larger audience.
At this time, our ability to implement any of these marketing tactics is funding-limited. We can broaden our base of support by seeking funding from new sources. To arrange your automatic monthly bank draft to support our work:
1. Download and print the Electronic Gift Transfer Authorization:
http://www.abortionno.org/pdf/ElectronicGiftTransferSE.pdf
2. Fill out the form. Make sure you designate the gift for "CBR Southeast"
3. Enclose a voided check or deposit slip bearing the account number of the account we should draft.
4. Mail the Transfer Authorization form and a voided check (or deposit slip) to CBR Southeast, P.O. Box 20115, Knoxville, TN 37940.
Please pray that God will raise up others to help you support this life-saving work!

What you can do!
If you have internet access, you can help! We are looking for volunteers to research Christian high schools to identify Bible teachers, civics teachers, philosophy teachers, and others who might be interested in teaching A Choice for Life. Having identified the target educators, we want you to simply send a personal e-mail to each of them. Your e-mail, (the text of which we provide) would describe the curriculum and invite them to check out the website, www.achoiceforlife.com. If you are willing to spend just a few hours a week to help Christian kids avoid the sin of abortion and become a witness against evil, please call Fletcher at 865-947-0179.
